Job Description

Planetary Talent is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage financial transactions for one of our clients, primarily supporting the bookkeeping of a daycare acquisition in Massachusetts . This role requires experience with accounting software and the ability to handle large transaction volumes with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
• Process transactions efficiently while ensuring compliance with financial policies.
• Work with accounting software as needed, such as AppFolio, Excel, and Word .
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Handle financial reporting and assist in audits if necessary.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, AppFolio preferred but not required).
• Strong Excel and Word skills to manage financial data and reporting.
• Experience with large transaction volumes and a meticulous approach to bookkeeping.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of organization.
• Prior experience in real estate bookkeeping is a plus, but not required.

Work Environment & Benefits:

• Hybrid role (2-3 days in office, with flexibility for remote work).
• Initial in-person training may be required for the first 1-2 weeks.
• Minimal travel required – bookkeeping is for an out-of-state business.
