Summary of Position:

Responsible for managing incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining the flow of materials within the manufacturing facility.

Essential Functions:

• Receiving Shipments: Unload and inspect incoming shipments, verifying the contents against purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
• Inventory Management : Check for damage or discrepancies in received goods, and report any issues to the appropriate department for resolution.
• Documentation: Accurately complete receiving reports and update inventory records to reflect the arrival and status of materials.
• Material Handling : Sort and organize received items in designated storage areas, using material handling equipment as needed.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all received materials meet quality standards and are free from defects before they are put into inventory or distributed.
• Communication: Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve any issues related to received shipments.
• Compliance: Follow company policies and procedures related to safety, security, and inventory control.

Supervisor Responsibilities : None

Work environment:

• Manufacturing, warehouse environment – exposure to changes in temperature (hot/cold)
• Subject to noise – when working near machinery and/or vehicles
• Subject to hazards – including proximity to moving mechanical parts and vehicles
• Exposure to light dust, fumes, and varying temperatures

Physical Demands :

• Prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting – 100% daily (subject to change daily)
• Bending, reaching, squatting, crouching, stooping, kneeling, standing or walking – occasional
• Visual acuity (20/40 – correctable by glasses/contacts)
• Grasping and fine manipulations with hands
• Occasional lifting, pushing,g and/or pulling up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 100 lbs.)

Travel: None

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Forklift Experience
• Prior warehouse experience
• Experience with computer usage, including basic proficiency in software applications, and hardware knowledge.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Current Forklift Certification
• Additional power equipment experience
