Job Description

Job Title: Test Technician (Contract)

Location: Maple Grove, MN

Length of Contract: Through March 26, 2026 (with potential extension)

Onsite Requirement: Fully onsite

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Test Technician to support our R&D test lab. This role is primarily focused on dimensional and process development testing for medical devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in regulated environments, particularly in testing and working with medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform dimensional testing and process development testing in a regulated environment
  • Conduct hands-on device testing in an R&D lab setting
  • Assist with conditioning products and working with outside testing houses
  • Maintain calibration of equipment and ensure all testing is compliant with regulations
  • Facilitate procedures and assist with ordering lab supplies as needed
  • Work closely with a team of technicians, engineers, and metrologists

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical device testing, mechanical testing, or a related field
  • Experience in dimensional testing
  • Hands-on device experience, preferably in a regulated environment
  • Familiarity with testing processes in medical device R&D (more focused on technical testing rather than quality control)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working on development projects with larger business unit-level interactions
  • Familiarity with regulated environments such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or similar fields

Soft Skills:

  • Clear communication skills and comfortability with admitting when unsure
  • Ability to handle constructive criticism and incorporate feedback into work
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team-oriented environment
