Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Substation Design for a Contract job with a client in Las Vagas, NV . The ideal candidate will provide engineering design services for substation facilities, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within resource allocations.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Substation Design job responsibilities include:
Developing economical, technically feasible, and reliable substation physical and control designs.
Managing multiple substation projects, collaborating with outside consulting firms and internal stakeholders.
Ensuring quality control by providing construction support, including coordination with construction teams and conducting job site inspections.
Coordinating and communicating with other departments to complete procurement tasks with moderate supervision.
Assisting and guiding other departments in solving non-standard substation design problems.
Providing accurate cost estimates for budgeting and cash flow requirements.
Contributing to the development of detailed project schedules and updating project management systems.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, codes, and regulations.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
1-3 years of experience in substation design or a related engineering field.
Demonstrated knowledge of substation/control engineering principles and utility engineering practices.
Proficiency in economic analysis methods, budgeting procedures, and project scheduling.
