As an important member of our research\nstaff, you will perform a wide range of vital functions. This\nposition will serve as the subject matter expert in Pharmacogenomics (PGx);\nperforming activities directed at preventing ineffective or harmful initiation\nof drug therapy, and/or continuation of drug therapy that is not optimal in\npatients who may be identified with genotypes that have associated actionable\ndrug-gene pairs. The roles and responsibilities relate to leading PGx\nimplementation, providing PGx education to provider and pharmacy staff, and\nproviding patient care that incorporates PGx recommendations in a variety of\npractice areas both inpatient and outpatient utilizing a global scope of\npractice. You will:

• Help develop a PGx program\n including policies and pathways that promote the optimal use of PGx\n testing
\n
• Contribute to the development\n and sustainment of PGx specific clinical decision support
\n
• Track and report improved\n patient outcomes
\n

Hourly Salary Range:\n$83.81 - $104.18 (Union represented, step based salary depending on years of\nexperience)

Qualifications

We’re seeking an exceptionally-skilled\nand compassionate pharmacist with:

\n
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree
\n
• Current California Pharmacist\n license
\n
• Pharmacogenomics\n certification, or equivalent experience
\n
• Ability to work independently\n with minimal supervision
\n
• Ability to synthesize\n research protocol directions into an accurate tool that conveys all\n aspects of dose preparation and administration
\n
• Excellent communication,\n interpersonal, organizational, and prioritizing skills
\n
• Ability to analyze research\n protocols and identify necessary equipment, training, materials, and\n handling directions
\n
