Job Description
We are looking for a Software Developer to independently develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development lifecycle. This position will be a full-time contract and remote.
What You'll Do

Apply extensive knowledge and expertise of enterprise applications and development to analyze, program, and implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power platform cloud-based enterprise software in support of business objectives
Determine the root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions
Responsible for the analysis, development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment support of the enterprise software application
Maintain databases of client information with the strictest attention to privacy and security
Administer credit card payment process. Design, implement, monitor, upgrade credit card transaction integration for EDA web sites. Coordinate payment workflows with business units. Troubleshoot applicant payment issues. Secure PCI compliance certifications and enforce credit card processing best practices
Remain current on new technologies and available vendor packages; evaluate and make technical recommendations to the team as necessary
Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
Manage and monitor web-related hardware, software, and components to ensure the successful operation of websites and minimize downtime
Ensure that API communications between existing/new web applications and cloud-based services (such as Microsoft Azure active directory, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, Policy Map) are operational, secure, and that data transfer is unimpeded
Research the latest tools and technologies to enhance the features and performance of applications then make recommendations to the team
Manage SQL Databases and other data connections the web applications communicate with other systems including 3rd party systems
Strategize with IT management and other leaders of the EDA on complex initiatives; make recommendations on solutions to accomplish the needed results timely and effectively
Translate business requirements into viable technical architectures, database schemas, and designs. Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements into tasks. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing technical documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code
Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the software stack. Support the deployed applications through debugging, fixing, and maintenance releases
Analyze the quality of the current web applications and provide recommendations
Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, and by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
Serve as a technical lead contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external team members
Audit other software engineers' code and give constructive feedback. Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management
Mentor software engineers to allow for skill/knowledge through advice, coaching, and training
Provide technical assistance to assist in the implementation of best practices
Provide recurring knowledge transfer sessions with appropriate IT staff
Maintain and modify custom-built applications and off-the-shelf products as required by user requests. Respond promptly to issues and test the results to verify the end-user's needs have been appropriately resolved
Oversee website analytics, granting access to users, creating reports, and assisting business units with determining marketing effectiveness, hardware utilization, and visitor trends
Collaborate and assist in other areas of ITS (programming, systems, doc management) as requested
Act as a Disaster Recovery Team Member with required participation in any testing and response needed to disasters
Actively communicate with the EDA staff to ensure the applications are meeting the needs of the business
Promote teamwork and communication to encourage an interactive, cooperative, collaborative, and customer-focused work environment among division, EDA staff, and external customers
Adapt workflow comfortably when priorities shift
What You'll Need Bachelor's Degree with a major in computer science or a related field, and/or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 7 years' experience in creating and managing websites preferred
Minimum 7 years developing and programming web applications.
Demonstrated Portal web app development experience including expertise in processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures
Strong organizational skills experience in managing multiple timelines and completing tasks quickly within the constraints of user's timelines
Experience with Dynamics 365 CRM development environments, code merge, deployments, and CI/CD
Expert experience on Cloud/on-prem databases such as Azure SQL, and SQL Server, MS SSIS and other third-party connector/integration tools
Expert experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, Azure, and DevOps - Required 5 Years.
Expert experience in project management tools including Git, DevOps, JIRA
Experience in using source code control and knowledge of web standards development using HTML 5.0, CSS 3.0, SharePoint, and JavaScript
Bachelor's Degree with a major in computer science or a related field, and/or equivalent professional experience
Physical Demands Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
