We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Consulting Radiation Oncologist to join our progressive healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients who have various types of cancer, utilizing advanced radiation therapy techniques such as Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), Brachytherapy, and other radiation therapies. You will be a part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide the highest quality of patient care. This position requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate patients to determine the appropriate course of radiation treatment.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using advanced radiation therapy techniques such as SBRT and Brachytherapy.
3. Monitor and document patients' progress during treatment, making necessary adjustments to the treatment plan as necessary.
4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation therapists, and nurses to ensure comprehensive cancer care.
5. Participate in tumor boards and contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
6. Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and potential side effects.
7. Participate in research activities related to radiation oncology and contribute to the advancement of the field.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in radiation therapy and continually seek to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.

Qualifications:

1. Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
2. Completion of a residency in Radiation Oncology.
3. Board certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology.
4. Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Radiation Oncologist.
5. Extensive experience and proficiency in advanced radiation therapy techniques such as SBRT and Brachytherapy.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
7. Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and a strong ability to empathize with and support patients through their treatment journey.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
9. Commitment to ongoing professional development and research in the field of radiation oncology.
10. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
