Job Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Physician Recruiter is responsible for leading physician and resident recruitment efforts across CMU Health campuses and affiliated clinics. This role focuses on sourcing, screening, and onboarding top-tier talent to meet organizational goals. The Recruiter collaborates with administrative and clinical departments, building robust talent pipelines to satisfy current and future staffing needs while providing an exceptional candidate experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Recruitment Strategy and Execution:
o Develop and implement effective physician and resident recruitment strategies.
o Build and maintain a network of contacts to source and attract qualified candidates.
o Utilize innovative tools, including social media, job boards, and industry events, to address recruitment challenges.
· Candidate Management:
o Create and post compelling job descriptions in various media.
o Review applications, screen CVs, and schedule initial interviews with Department Chairs to assess fit.
o Coordinate and schedule interviews, including arranging travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants.
o Facilitate the entire recruitment cycle, from sourcing to offer extension and onboarding.
· Collaboration and Communication:
o Partner with hiring managers and department chairs to identify staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment plans.
o Organize on-site interview itineraries and serve as a liaison between candidates and internal stakeholders.
o Provide timely communication to candidates, ensuring a positive experience.
· Data and Compliance:
o Maintain and update recruitment activity in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) from job posting through hiring proposal.
o Generate reports and dashboards to track recruitment metrics and provide actionable insights.
o Ensure compliance with AA/EO policies and regulations throughout the recruitment process.
· Event Coordination:
o Represent the organization at job fairs and recruitment events, promoting CMU Health's opportunities.
o Organize and lead recruitment-related events, such as annual "Meet the Faculty" nights.
o Organize and attend resident recruitment events to increase engagement and career interest with CMU Health.
