Neurological Occupational Therapy Assistant – Certified (COTA)

Qualifications:

• Associate degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• NYS C.O.T.A. certification and registration.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with neurological conditions.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties:

• Supports patients with stroke, brain injuries, and neurodegenerative conditions.
• Assists in improving motor control, cognitive function, and sensory integration.
• Uses adaptive techniques and assistive devices to enhance independence.
• Monitors therapy outcomes and collaborates with the OTR for adjustments.
• Documents progress and communicates with the interdisciplinary team.
