Job Description Technology is at the heart of running great restaurants and a critical element of every major initiative underway within McDonald’s. Over the next three years, we will modernize much of this technology as we deploy our new Restaurant Platform across the US, modernizing our POS and back office hardware, our network infrastructure, and our digital menu board hardware. We are seeking a highly skilled Manager to help lead the deployment of our restaurant technology platform across all US restaurants over the next three years. This role will supervise three critical initiatives that form the core of the new platform, ensuring successful implementation, integration, and adoption. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Technology Deployment. What you’ll be doing: Leadership and Management: Carry out tasks in line with the overall deployment strategy of the new technology platform. Be responsible for all aspects of the deployment of three critical initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines. Coordinate the rollout schedule, ensuring minimal disruption to restaurant operations. Align deployment plans with organizational goals and timelines. Supplier/Partner Engagement and Coordination: Engage with and handle the relationship with all required third-party suppliers, supervising supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of products and services. Coordinate with suppliers to resolve any issues or delays that arise during the deployment process. Champion strong relationships with suppliers to ensure collaboration and alignment with project goals. Collaborator Engagement: Collaborate with key partners, including restaurant owner/operators and Technology teams, and provide regular updates. Champion strong relationships with partners to ensure their needs and expectations are met. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Supervise and handle risks to minimize impact on deployment. Change Management: Aid in the development and implementation of a change management plan to ensure a smooth transition to the new technology platform. Support training and support to facilitate adoption and minimize disruption. Performance Monitoring: Supervise the performance of the new technology platform post-deployment to ensure it meets the desired outcomes. Gather feedback from users and collaborators to identify areas for improvement and drive vital adjustments. Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and regularly reviewing processes and outcomes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or a related field. Validated experience in large-scale technology deployments, preferably in the restaurant or retail industry. Excellent project management and organizational abilities. Effective communication and stakeholder leadership skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead multiple priorities. To be a change agent and have a strong passion for improving process. Retail technology experience with a focus on operations in a highly distributed environment. Broad experience across the IT SDLC including development, deployment, and support, as well as multidisciplinary expertise in financial, vendor management, communications and getting results in a global organization. Strong ability to partner, negotiate, and influence peers and other technology leaders, leaders from other functions, and owner/operators.
