Links Global based in Rockville, MD is recruiting for a part-time media and public relations specialist to support a variety of client communication needs. One project in particular is to support a client with building an alumni engagement program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate working groups and advisory groups
• Conduct interviews of field experts to support plan development
• Conduct public relations
• Write and edit strategy, communication plans, media releases, articles, and other information
• Coordinate activities and events
• Provide training
• Develop information materials
• Develop digital media and social media for marketing and promotion purposes
• Manage several staff

Required qualifications

• B.S. in communication or related field
• 10+ years of experience working relevant duties
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Excellent group facilitation skills
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Experience in developing communication materials
• Organized and able to use a variety of business software such as MS Office
• Self-motivated and also team player abilities
• Ability to pass government suitability background check
