POSITION SUMMARY : 

The Job Coach assists students to learn, accommodate, and perform their work duties. In addition to working on skills related to performing specific job tasks, help with interpersonal skills necessary in the work place.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Facilitate learning in the area of social and life skills.
2. Communicates effectively with teachers, supervisor and local business.
3. Develop effective job coaching and employment plans.
4. Utilize assessments to help student’s discover their individual needs and goals.
5. Encourages continued student engagement without disrupting classroom instructions

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education :           Must be at least 21 years old. Sixty hours of college credit or a Paraprofessional certificate is required.

Experience :        One-year experience with students identified as Socially/Emotionally disturbed is preferred.
