General Summary of Position Department: Public Relations- Communications Status: Full Time, 40 hours per week Schedule: 8:30am - 5:00pm; Monday - Friday Job Summary: MedStar Health is looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join our team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital! The position involves providing support for our leadership team in developing and executing internal communication strategies. This role will focus on reaching internal stakeholders, particularly physicians and associates, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will create and distribute content across multiple channels, supporting key initiatives and internal projects. Collaborate with digital marketing and system stakeholders to monitor and evaluate communication efforts. Create and distribute content for system surveys, newsletters, memos, and intranet updates. Tailor communication strategies to target specific audiences within the organization. Support internal events, including town halls, wellness initiatives, and management meetings. Serve as an internal photographer at events as designated by leadership. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. 3 years+ of experience in internal communications or marketing. Healthcare experience preferred. Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills. Experience with internal event planning and digital communication tools. This position has a hiring range of $58,656 - $98,384 MedStar Health
