We are a 3PL company based in Riverside, CA. As we expand our operations, we are looking to bring on a dedicated HR/Administrative Assistant to help establish and streamline internal processes, build strong employee support systems, and support the day-to-day functionality of our office.

Job Summary

This is a dual-role position combining human resources support with office administration. You’ll assist with employee documentation, onboarding, recruiting coordination, and help lay the foundation for key HR policies. You will also handle general administrative tasks such as supply management, scheduling, and communication with vendors. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow with a company and take ownership of developing internal systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records (digital and physical)
• Assist with recruiting and onboarding: post jobs, schedule interviews, track candidates
• Help draft and coordinate internal policies: PTO, sick leave, benefits, onboarding, 401(k), insurance
• Monitor and order office supplies; manage vendor communications
• Support daily administrative tasks and internal scheduling
• Assist management in HR planning and program development
• Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and manage compliance documentation
• Prepare basic reports and organize documents for internal use
• Act as point of contact for HR-related employee questions
• Assist with creating and updating internal safety policies
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, including maintaining safety documentation, conducting employee safety training, and managing workplace safety audits

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in HR and/or administrative support
• Understanding of California labor laws and basic HR compliance
• Highly organized, with excellent time management and follow-through
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Bonus: knowledge of payroll, onboarding systems, or HR software
• Bonus: experience in small business or startup environments
