Schedule: Monday – Friday, with flexibility to work weekends as needed for events
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with flexibility to work extended hours based on principal needs

Job  Overview

A high-profile couple in the Upper East Side is seeking a polished, professional, and experienced  House Manager / Executive Housekeeper  to oversee daily household operations and provide direct support to the Mrs. of the home. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, a background in formal service, and a proactive, nurturing approach to staff and household management.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting high-net-worth individuals and managing sophisticated private households with precision and grace.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day household operations, ensuring a seamless and well-maintained home environment
• Supervise, schedule, and manage household staff, fostering a respectful and team-oriented work culture
• Collaborate closely with the Mrs. to manage projects, events, and daily household needs
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers; oversee property maintenance in tandem with the property manager
• Execute formal and informal events, including table setting, guest service, and coordination with catering/chefs
• Maintain household inventories (including pantry items and wine cellar); shop for household supplies and specialty items
• Provide wardrobe and closet management support; assist with packing/unpacking and seasonal closet organization
• Work with designers and stylists on interiors and home upkeep
• Support the family office with various administrative and operational tasks as needed
• Ensure all household systems (smart home technology, HVAC, security, AV, etc.) are properly maintained and functioning
• Assist with art collection oversight, including liaising with installers and conservators
• Maintain a strong presence in the home while demonstrating discretion, professionalism, and emotional intelligence

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in a similar role supporting a private household
• Strong background in luxury service, hospitality, or estate management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English with outstanding verbal and written communication
• Tech-savvy; experience with smart home systems and digital household management tools
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to think critically and solve problems with discretion and resourcefulness
• Professional demeanor with a high level of emotional intelligence and confidentiality
• US work authorization required
• Valid driver’s license preferred
