Director of Security - Missouri Athletic Club

Job Overview:

• Security and Safety Management: Establishes and enforces security procedures to protect members, guests, and staff, overseeing parking lot operations, and ensuring safety protocols like traffic control, first aid, and emergency response procedures are followed.

• Staff Supervision and Training: Interviews, hires, schedules, and supervises security personnel, including contracted staff, while working with the Training Specialist to ensure training in first aid, fire protection, and other security practices.

• Incident Response and Reporting: Responds to calls for service, manages incidents, investigates occurrences on club premises, cooperates with law enforcement, and creates detailed reports on security incidents, accidents, and violations.

• Budget and Operational Planning: Develops and monitors the security department's budget, assists with capital improvements, and makes recommendations for new technologies while ensuring smooth daily operations and personnel management.

• Collaboration and Compliance: Works with HR on security clearances, employee investigations, and maintaining positive relationships with local authorities, while ensuring compliance with club rules and industry standards.

• Member Relations: Develops member engagement strategies and fosters a positive work environment for staff, members, and guests.

Director of Security Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related major preferred.
• Several years of experience in security roles required, including at least five years of management
• Critical thinking, strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and leadership skills are needed.
