We serve all geographies and many market segments, including academic institutions, government organizations, corporations, public and federal libraries and law firms.
Position Summary: The Digitization Specialist will work with a variety of physical and digital materials in a production environment. This includes document scanning with a variety of scanning equipment. It also includes processing for digital output. This is done in Photoshop and other image manipulation software. Final output requires a quality control step, which will be part of the applicant’s responsibility after gaining experience. This person must be a self-starter, with excellent computer skills. The Digitization Specialist must be organized, detail orientated and be required to meet project deadlines. Other duties include packaging for shipping and inventory.
Responsibilities: - Scanning various materials: maps, books, newspapers, journals, microfilm
- Operate various scanning equipment and software products
- Digital image clean-up, file conversion, file naming and proper storage on network
- Quality control, inventory and packaging of various materials
- Proper tracking and reporting of production time for project development
Knowledge, Skills/Abilities: - Ability to work independently
- Familiarization with basic Windows operating systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi task and handle projects under tight deadlines
- Desire to learn new skills related to digital products and workflows
Education and Qualifications desired: - High school diploma, or equivalent is required.
- One to two years of Scanning experience, preferred
- Photoshop or other digital image manipulation software experience, preferred
Requirements - Ability to do repetitive work and task switching
- Must have close vision and the ability to focus

- This is an onsite position located in Hopkins, MN near Hopkins Crossroads/Hwy 394 with some remote potential
- Work is done standing and sitting
- The work schedule can be any 8-hour shift during the core hours of Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with some flexibility depending upon the demands of the workload
Pay $18.00 - $21.50 per hour
