About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief for its Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition. This leadership role involves serving as the Co-Director of the Digestive Health Service Line and providing strategic oversight of digestive health care for the health enterprise. The successful candidate will be a transformative and forward-thinking leader, responsible for advancing the program, expanding the team, and enhancing the impact on the health of communities across the region. The Division of GI is a pillar of excellence in gastrointestinal care, research, and education, known for its multidisciplinary clinical programs and commitment to innovation. The Chief will be expected to have a clinical practice, experience in developing faculty, leading clinical programs in a complex setting, and a record of innovative and effective administrative experience. Candidates for this position must have an M.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school, current board certification in gastroenterology, and be eligible for licensure in the relevant state. Academic qualifications for a minimum rank of Associate Professor are required. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a demonstrated commitment to promoting a diverse academic environment, and a strong background in academic medicine. The role demands a physician leader with a proven track record in clinical practice, faculty development, and administrative leadership, who can continue to foster the division's growth and success within the health system.
