We are seeking an experienced Boat Captain to operate and maintain our 65ft Sunseeker Yacht. As the captain, you will be responsible for the full maintenance of the boat, checking components, and changing filters. You will also be responsible for communicating with different vendors and meeting them for boat repairs.Why join us? A valid Captain's license: The captain must hold a valid U.S. Coast Guard license, which certifies the captain's ability to operate a boat safely. Knowledge of navigation and safety protocols: A captain must be knowledgeable about local navigation routes, nautical charts, and the rules of the waterway. They should also have extensive knowledge of safety protocols, including how to handle emergencies and potential hazards. Communication skills: A captain must have excellent communication skills to communicate with crew members, vendors, and passengers. Physical fitness: The captain must be physically fit and able to handle the physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting and long hours. Customer service skills: The captain should be friendly, professional, and have excellent customer service skills to provide an enjoyable experience for passengers. Knowledge of local laws and regulations: A captain must be aware of all the local laws and regulations related to boating in the area and ensure that they are followed at all times. Familiarity with the local waters: A captain should have a good understanding of the local waters, including tidal patterns, weather patterns, and the location of hazards and landmarks.
