About the Role:
We're seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Counselor to provide client-centered care and help individuals achieve their mental health goals. In this role, you'll work closely with clients, families, and clinical supervisors to deliver high-quality behavioral health services. Whether through telehealth or in-person community-based settings, your impact will help transform lives.
What You'll Do:
Client Care:
Provide direct support and care to clients and families in your caseload under clinical supervision.
Deliver CPST (Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment) services aligned with client treatment plans.
Act as an advocate for clients in treatment decisions and coordinate with necessary resources.
Participate in treatment planning, progress monitoring, and discharge planning.
Conduct interventions and attend treatment team meetings to ensure clients' needs are met.
Prepare accurate and timely progress notes and summaries for assigned clients.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Write and submit progress notes and related documentation on time for clinical supervision.
Attend required training sessions and meetings to stay updated on best practices and agency standards.
What We're Looking For:
Education and Licensure:
A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology.
Provisional licensure required (PLPC, PLMFT, CSW, or LMSW).
Skills and Qualities:
Excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards.
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver's license.
CPR certification (must be obtained within 45 days of hire).
Training and Supervision:
Participate in bi-monthly clinical supervision sessions.
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily community-based, with travel to clients' homes required. Telehealth is also an approved method for service delivery.
Job Details:
Contract Type: 1099
Hours: Guaranteed 20 hours per week (part-time) or 32 hours per week (full-time).
Compensation: If minimum weekly hours are not met, the hourly rate applies, calculated from progress note entries.
Performance Expectations:
Maintain a minimum of 20/32 client contact hours per week.
Submit progress notes without errors and within established timeframes.
Be punctual for scheduled supervision sessions.
Submit supervision paperwork at least 24 hours in advance.
Adhere to all policies and procedures while managing your caseload and flexible schedule effectively.
