Kids Place, Inc. is a non-profit after-school program that does so much more than babysit kids. Once you join our after-school team, you will swear you’ve gained a new family. We have 15 locations throughout Knox and Sevier Counties. We are currently looking to add 2 site directors to our team.

The Site Director of each Kids Place location is an integral part of our team and helps provide quality care to the children at their location. To maintain the highest quality program, the Site Director must demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and creative thinking skills. They will manage the staff at their location and incorporate provided curriculum. This post states the core responsibilities of a Site Director; however, responsibilities are not limited to this list.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age and have 3 years experience in childcare.
  • Willing to work towards an associate degree, CDA, or higher in qualifying child/education related degree.
  • Leadership and management experience with the ability to coach up staff and maintain good morale
  • Able to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate after-school program
  • Knowledgeable of child development and developmentally appropriate practices in after-school settings
  • Able to handle difficult children, parents, and/or situations
  • Proficient in maintaining and monitoring program billing and accounting tasks
  • Capable of following all state and local laws and regulations regarding childcare.
  • Adept at building and maintaining relationships with parents and school personnel
  • Wiling to be CPR and First Aid Certified
  • Able to complete all annual trainings and attend monthly Site Director meetings with the Admin Team.

Hours and Compensation:

  • Full-time, salaried position. Starting salary range based on experience and education ($33,000-37,000).
  • Working hours during the school year would be from 1:00pm – 6:30pm Monday – Friday. During the summer, hours would change to varied shifts depending on need. Example shifts are 7:00am-1:00pm and/or 12:00pm-6:00pm Monday-Friday. No weekends required during the school year or summer. Keep in mind that there are meetings and bookkeeping work required outside of the hours working with kids.
