Job Title: Accounts Receivables Clerk

Classification: Non-exempt

Reports to: Accounts Receivables Manager

Supervision: No supervisory responsibilities

Salary Range: $17.00-$19.00/depending on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and efficient Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for posting the incoming payments, ensuring that clients are billed correctly, and maintaining an organized system for tracking and reporting financial transactions related to accounts receivable.

Essential Functions

1. Process and verify incoming payments, ensuring accuracy in transactions and resolving any discrepancies.

2. Prepare and send invoices to clients, following up on outstanding payments as necessary.

3. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all accounts receivable transactions.

4. Collaborate with the sales and customer service departments to resolve billing issues and improve customer satisfaction.

5. Ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

6. Generate reports detailing accounts receivable status for review by the finance manager.

7. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to accounts receivable to improve efficiency and reduce outstanding receivables.

8. Support the finance department with other tasks and projects as needed.

9. Handle and count cash drawer daily.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

1. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

2. At-least 3-4 years of experience in accounts receivables or a similar role.

3. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Proficient in relevant accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamic NAV or similar system).

7. Experience in credit and collections.

8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

· Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.

· Must have a valid driver's license.
